LANDMINES, NO COUNTRY, LITTLE CHANCE
Sat, 01/23/2010 - 08:16 | by Greg WinemanI woke up this morning thinking about the loss of our RV Business. I feel for Kelly and his family all of the other families that we represented and know in my heart that RV Town raised-up the ministry of Displaced Orphans International. So, I can rest in knowing that, as uncomfortable as it is filing for unemployment with all of the others, this is a time, not to reflect, but to push forward!
The ministry of DOI serves people where there are more land mines than anywhere else in the world. It serves people who have no country and little chance of a "normal" life. I have been home just under one week. I was in the refugee camps, tending to orphans, holding the limbs that were shattered by the land mines and even privileged to be with and pray for the little beautiful souls taken out of the brothels.
3 Weeks of Amazing Travel
Wed, 01/20/2010 - 12:13 | by Greg WinemanHow to summarize 3 weeks of amazing travel and concentrated team-work in Thailand?
Lynnette and I arrived on the 29th of December 2009 in advance of the team coming. Met Mary, the Aglow Leader for all of Southeast Asia, we swapped stories, enjoyed breakfast, prayed and prophesied. Amazing connection.
We were able to visit Phalansak who now has 12 children. He is in process of new construction and needs 90,000 Bht to complete which includes a well and water tower, toilets, walls, windows, doors. They do greeting cards for us, hand woven table runners and are now being asked to do “sets” to include place mats and coasters. Greg believes this area is also where we are to build a Christian School under new FOUNDATION to initially serve 300 children.
